This past Halloween was my daughter’s first where she knew the joy of candy. She ate more than was reasonable. How do I know it was not reasonable? She had diarrhea the next day. You do the math. I think it was only 3-4 pieces, but here we are.

I find myself hoping she makes the connection and breaks the sugar habit here and now. When Child #1 was 2 years of age, I rationed his candy so he got 1 piece after school for a month. Rookie mistake. He’s been hooked on candy ever since and it made it a habit of sorts for him. I should have taxed him at least 2/3’s of that! But I was a newish Mom. Mistakes were made.

Hoping letting Child #2 binge a bit works out better for us.
